Hi, I'm brand new to this whole thing. I get the premise but I have no idea how this actual site works. How do I upload my piece, how do I track my project-- how does it all work here specifically? Thanks!

I'm not the dev, so i might be missing something, but here's what i've figured out about using this site so far: i don't think there's a way to upload all your writing to the site, unless you want to post it to the forums, if that's what you meant by "upload my piece." (a writing share section could be pretty cool though!) to track your project, after you've made a project on your profile, you go to the calendar next to the bar graph. if you click on today's date, just under the day number, a small text box appears and you can type your word count in there. there's also the "quick update" button, which i'm sure is super useful for anyone who has only one project on their page! since i have three, and there's no way to tell which project count you're updating on the quick update screen yet, i don't really use that feature personally. it's not too much of a hassle to go onto my profile page anyway, and i like looking at my graphs. mmmmmmm tasty data!!

Welcome! Exactly as spidersPatch said, you can set up a goal my visiting 'My Profile,' then use the calender or the quick update button to track your progress. Since it's a quick draft challenge, there's nowhere to share your writing —so, no pressure to make it perfect! You're welcome to share snippets in the forum though! Also, please do not eat the graphs. I know they look delicious, but too much data may upset your stomach 😜

I click on the calendar and don't get that little box, odd! I'll try a new web page and logging back in and out, thank you!

what do you mean - 'please do not eat the graphs' ... ?? they do not only look delicious, they are delicious ... and for any kind of upset stomach, well, you won't get an upset stomach if they're in the positive, only if they're in the negative ... :D ...

I also do not get the little box when I click on the calendar. I'm using Firefox, so I tried turning off advanced tracking protection, but that didn't fix it.
