As of yesterday, the 25th of November, I have hit my goal of 50k. I honestly didn't think I'd be able to do it, but here we are. Once I got to writing the words just seemed to flow out of me, and it was easy to hit my targets. I still have a few days left, and I would like to continue writing, so I decided to go ahead and set my goal to 70.000 instead. What's 20.000 more words, right? he... he... yeah... it might be a bit ambitious, but I am an overachiever, so I like the challenge. Funnily enough as soon as I changed the word counter it said I only have 49k words instead of 50k, but it gave me 100% before, so I'm sticking with it.

Amazing! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ As to the 49K words instead of 50K words, I can think of two possibilities: 1. a network error, where you updated your wordcount locally but it didn't actually go through 1. state management error, where the last update was overwritten when you edited your goal. 2. rounding miscoumunication. The percentage is rounded to the nearest whole number, so even if you only had 49,800 words, it would say 100%, not 99.6% Do you happen to remember what your last update was? As in, did you enter around 1000 words at once, or was it a much greater number?

Uh, three possibilities. Counting is the computer's job.

Replying to Bethany: Amazing! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ As to the 49K words instead of 50K words, I can think of two possibilities: 1. a ne... ↩️ It was the option of rounding up to the nearest number, I'm sure. I ended up at 49.802. That makes sense now. I updated about 7.4k words at once, I usually update at the end of the day and do it all at once. Doesn't always work out for me, since I apparently forgot to do it this time and it's now an hour passed midnight, so I never updated anything today woopsie haha
