I've written for four straight days. Haven't hit my daily goal on any of those, but I have written 1,000-plus words on each of them. But I'm worried the novel isn't very novel-y. It's like 97 percent notes and 3 percent novel. Maybe I should do a search on "how to write a scene for a novel" and just go from there.
First drafts are miserable. I always think my first draft is a complete masterpeice and then I give to someone to read and I am like--no don't read that part...I'm gonna fix that... how abpout we skip that paragraph and move to the next one... I then come to conclusion its complete crap and have to start from scratch. get to the ending! Thats what the first draft is for. don't worry about the rest yet. this is 50000 words, not 90000 or a 100000. Just keep trekking and you'll get there! once you're done you can hand it to trusted people to help you flush out the hard stuff. Keep Going!!!
