Well, I don't have any words down on paper but I have managed to sit down each day so far to work on my novel - the outline at least. Being absolutely freaking new to this, just showing up in some capacity gives me a solid sense of consistency. I didn't really know about Prep-tober which may or may not have been helpful. I just have some major goalposts I need to hit in my story and getting those down are what make the story. I've already got my characters and fleshed out the setting, selecting core story locations for anchors. It's just the outline at this point and I look forward to having that squared away to finally just word vomit a first draft.
outlining your novel is just as important, and if you didn't prepare in October, it is great that you already have managed to sort through your characters, setting and your locations ... I often need more than two days to do that ... :) ... good luck to you when you start writing for real ... evil
