Hey team! I'm hoping to finally finish my 10-year-old WIP this year, and although it legally should have a name by now, i have been putting it off and need some suggestions. It is inspired by Norse mythology, set within the 9 realms and features our favourite gods and goddesses. My main character, Asta, is a human living in the dwarven-realm of Svartalfheim, 1000 years after her Viking ancestors prayed to the Gods to get them off Midgard. Throughout the novel she discovers her friends and boyfriend aren't who they say they are, overcomes her prejudices as she meets new characters (think an elven diplomat who eventually becomes a love-interest, and the giant wolf Fenrir) and battles with her own self-image and worth. The magic of the dwarves is failing, and they are blaming the humans for its downfall. As her people are being imprisoned and the magic of her world crumbles around her, Asta must reconcile her feelings with her own magic, one that thrives on chaos and destruction. Does she save her people, or let in the little voice in her head that says "let the world burn"? Hope this is enough of a blurb! Let me know if you need more deets.
