hi Bethany, I'm very happy to have found this place here, I think it's lovely in its smallness ... when NaNo shut off the lights and closed it's doors, I've been looking for other places to write in during November, and I've signed up to Ellipsus, as well as to the Order of the Written Word - I have been looking into other places and corners as well, but I didn't like most of them right from the start ... both Ellipsus and the Order of the Written Word, however, are too big for my liking - not that NaNo hasn't been big either, but that has been an entirely different matter altogether, as I've been a member of NaNo for about 500 years before it closed it's doors ... I have been growing into it becoming so big, without being thrown into a place already crowded with about 50.000 people or more ... it has been my home for many years, and when it closed, I've been fairly devastated ... however, both, Ellipsus and O2W, use Discord as their community, and as I am old, like 500 years old, already a grandmother to 3 Kids, I do have Discord, but am not entirely comfortable with it - during 50 percent of my life (before that computers didn't even exist for normal people like me) forums have ruled the internet, and that is what I can relatively safely navigte ... so, for months I've been looking for something similar to NaNo, but there isn't any place that is similar, and I had to learn to accept that, and be brave, and try out something else ... and then, just a few days ago, I have found this place here - just about being a startup, a small place with not so many people - I don't say it might remain so small, but for now it is comfortable right here, and I can get to know people as they partake in conversations on the forum ... a small place that can become a home for people like me, and already I love it ... so, thanks for creating this little corner ... now, I do have a suggestion, if you don't mind: perhaps you and your team could introduce yourselves, so that we normal users know who are the admins of this wonderful place here ?? that would be very nice ... live long and prosper evil minded
The team is just me at the moment π I did a thread introducing myself, but yes, good idea, I should add a permanent place explaining who I (and hopefully 'we', at some point) are. Added to the to-do list β
