Hi Y'all! I'm an old retired gal living on the West Coast, US, wondering what the hell happened to NaNoWriMo. My novel is already in the works-. a bunch of women & girls living in a tiny coastal town on SF Bay in the post-Gold Rush days desperately want to be freed from the shackles of their oppression and might even have to conspire with men who work at the "Powder Works" to blow some shit up. They're a smart & fun bunch, the women and girls that is. Anyhoo, I'm writing. Are you? And if so, what's your story?

Welcome! Nanowrimo refugees is the exact target audience 😜 My most recent project was about genetically engineered carniverous pandas, but I didn't get very far. Hopefully by November I'll have an outline strong enough to carry me through the month!

Hi tried to post before but ended up having to create a new profile and move to my laptop. I'm still trying to see if I want to do this- but I miss Nanowrimo so bad. I was doing Nano for 20 years. this years project might be a prequel to the projects I'm editing- prequel by 7k years. Not sure the who is the point of view mc- possibly all five. it departs from the main body of stories because its a fantasy coming of age rather then war/politics/economics/espionage/ magical story.

Another refugee checking in *waves* I stopped doing the 50K in 2019 (after doing it for 17 years straight my AuDHD brain couldn't take it any longer), so I really like that I can set a goal that works for me. Working on a slow burn queer soulmate/red string of fate story.
