Hi y'all! I'm Brooke and I'm writing a novel about the older sister of a serial killer deciding whether or not to testify against him in his trial. I started this challenge on the 8th and I've had to write like crazy every day to make up the thousands of words I missed out on in the beginning. But now, I'm all caught up! I crossed 30k today which is right where everyone who didn't start more than a week late should be on this challenge. Now, I'm facing a decision about whether to keep blasting out 2200 words a day or slow down to the regular pace and finish with everyone else. Pros to continuing what I've been doing are that I'll either finish early or get more than 50k words to edit at the end - both good options. The con to that is I'm already pretty tired of this pace and it will be really hard to keep it up for at least another 10 days. If I slow down I probably won't feel so daunted by the process every day and I'll likely feel more rested between each writing session - but I also don't want to lose my momentum. If y'all were in my shoes what would you do?
I vote for keep blasting! If you can, but maybe don't push super hard if you reach par and feel like stopping. I think 1667 words per day is enough for momentup, but it probably depends on your brain/process.
